May 2025
Hello everyone,
All roads lead to Rome... and Brittany!
As I told you at the beginning of April, we spent a weekend in Rome to participate in RAI's very important weekly show, Domenica In; I was particularly impressed by the archived images, photos, and videos they found, which I wasn't familiar with! They must have liked my performance, since I've already been offered another show on Italian TV in September. I'll keep you posted if that happens.
Another interesting date I mentioned: on the 24th, we took the TGV to Brest to inaugurate the exhibition of our photos of the world's most beautiful islands (mostly taken by Francette while I filmed), displayed in large format on the walls of the very pretty little town of Daoulas, Daoulas, on the banks of a river called the Mignonne. It's impressive to see the larger prints, especially of the Guna (formerly Kuna) Indian women of the San Blas Islands, off the coast of Panama. You can find a list of the selected photographs and their titles on this site.

On May 6th, I'll be at the SACEM (French Society of Music and Dance) for a medal ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of my becoming a "full member" of this important society. In the same class are Jacques Dutronc, my friend Jean-Pierre Lang (songwriter for Pierre Bachelet), and Michel Mallory (who wrote many songs for Johnny Cash and others); Francis Cabrel, Patrick Sébastien, and Renaud will be celebrating their 50th anniversary at SACEM.
The rest of the month we watched the temperatures rise on the Auvergne farm. This May 1st bank holiday promises to be particularly beautiful and warm: Flowers fleurs like that ! ...
Before the end of the month, I plan to return to my catamaran Banana Split to take it to Indonesia. I'll tell you all about it.
